My only disagreement is with the focus on HarperCollins' villianry, rather than the Lewis estate.
We are talking about heirs ... sons and daughters of Lewis who are, (to judge from the existing popularity of Narnia books) already quite well-off ... wanting to betray the memory of their father in exchange for the thirty pieces of silver offered by HarperCollins. Don't kid yourself and think that Random House, Simon Schuschter and other media powerhouses weren't right there bidding alongside HarperCollins for the exact same right to butcher Narnia.
What's next? Are we going to see turncoat offspring of Amy Grant or Michael W. Smith sign deals 50 years from now to strip "Jesus" from their songs in exchange for a fistful of coins?
